The majority of the latest national polls show Republican challenger Mitt Romney leading over President Barack Obama on Thursday.
Of four polls released, only one gave the president a slight edge over Romney.
The following is the latest by-the-numbers look at presidential polling numbers.
47: The Associated Press/GfK poll released on Wednesday gives Romney a two-point lead over Obama. The former Massachusetts Governor was preferred by 47 percent of voters, while Obama received 45 percent of the support of those surveyed.
10: A portion of those who were polled have already cast their ballot in states with early voting laws in place. Of the voters who were surveyed, 10 percent had already voted through absentee or early voting.
50: The Gallup seven-day rolling poll has settled down a bit from a seven-point lead earlier in the previous week to a three-point lead by Wednesday. Romney is at 50 percent while Obama is at 47 percent. Rasmussen Reports provided the same numbers, with Romney up three points over Obama, 50 to 47 percent.
49: Those surveyed by Rasmussen don't give a very high approval or disapproval rating for Obama's presidency. He's at 49 percent among those who somewhat approve of his job performance and 50 percent for those who at least somewhat disapprove.
48: Rasmussen provided some battleground state numbers as well for Thursday, with Romney ahead in New Hampshire by two points, the president leading in Nevada, and both candidates tied at 48 percent for Ohio.
45: The president does lead in the IBD/TIPP presidential tracking poll, where he's up 46.7 percent over Romney, who has 44.7 percent of voter's support.
10: President Obama's lead among women voters in that poll dropped from 12 points to 10 points in one day.
51: When looking at four regions in the U.S., the poll said that Obama was ahead in three regions, the Northeast (49 percent to 43 percent), the Midwest (51 percent to 43 percent) and the West (48 percent to 41 percent). Romney was ahead in the South at 49 percent over Obama's 42 percent.
